Both NBA teams that call New York a home have had some exciting off-seasons. The Nets picking up their staring power forward, and a great mix to their guard rotation. Were the Knicks got a lot of young talent out of the draft, along with a couple young veterans.

This off-season the New York Knicks will welcome 6 new players that did not wear orange and blue last season. Young veterans Mario Hezonja and Noah Vonleh will be expected to contribute to their younger look while also having some experience in today’s NBA. They also were fortunate enough to draft Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson in the first and second round of the draft. While all the while still being able to pick up unsigned rookie Allonzo Trier , and second year player Kadeem Allen. Allen who averaged 18-5-5 in the G Leauge last season, only played a mere 18 games with the Celtics last season averaging 5.8 minutes per game while playing there.

The Brooklyn Nets also secured 6 new players who did not wear the black and white last season.Only receving two overseas stash away players in this year’s draft, the Nets attempted to make serious moves in free agency. They signed big names like Kennith Faried, Shabazz Napier, Jared Dudley, and young talent Treveon Graham. Napier who is coming of a 42% scoring season, where he averaged close to 9 ppg. Seeing as though the Nets already have their 1,2,3,and 5 positions already set in stone they have now signed their starting power forward in Faried, and now make a pretty mean starting lineup. The Signing of Napier closes out a great 3 point guard rotation between himself, Spencer Dinwiddie, and DeAngelo Russel.

Last season the Knicks finished 11th in the eastern confrence with a 29-53 record. While the Nets finished one sport behind them at 12 with a 28-54 record.

Prediction for this season : The Knicks will finish 8th in the east with a 37-45 record while the Nets finish two spots behind them at the 10th spot, with a 32-50 record.
